Concert Review for Meat Loaf Aug 12th 2010

Good Afternoon to all

Well great news The Loaf is Back.

He sounded great while singing but he was a little hoarse while he was just talking to the crowd.

the show started with Meat coming out on stage with his pink Guitar and playing with an amp and then strumming the strings and no sound and paul telling him he forgot to turn it on and turns it on for him. plays  again and the amp (blows) the band breaks into Hot Potootie whatever happened to saturday night from Rocky Horror Picture with a clip from the movie playing on the giant screen behind the stage. Then it was an incredible ride from then on into Break it to Bat to stuff from the new album. Just a great show I can't remember the closing was either Boneyard or All revved up. Pearl was awesome as well she was loud very  talented as well. Some lady next to me booed her and asked if I like her music I said yes if I didn't i wouldn't have been there to see her perform.

Get Ready today is the day fans in southern california have been waiting for Meat Loaf Performing tonight with special guest -----Pearl----- that is right Daughter of the Legend is the opener for him tonight and she has a meet and greet planned after her set at the Merchandise stand talk about that being hell, Well I will let you all know at a later time reviews will be posted later for both Joan Jett and Meat at a later time along with pictures from both shows will be posted on Facebook and here and maybe Photobucket as long as I can lock them so they can't be used by others for profit.

1 Day before Meat Loaf Continues his Tour

Good Wednesday Afternoon to All

Well 1 day of waiting till Meat resumes the tour in Beautiful not so Hot sunny Southern California. It has been a few months since the release of Hang Cool Teddy Bear and It still a great album. I must say Shame on the Record company for not promoting the Hell out of this Great Album and Artist Meat should really think about another company. but enough of this rant.

Universal City AKA Universal Studios: Gibson Amphitheater will rock Thursday August 12th with true rock and roll music with Meat Loaf and the Neverland Express with Very Special Guest Pearl. So all fans stay tune for My review of this awesome show and Pictures if I can get my camera in and don't get it taken away.

Tonight I will be at My first Concert of the Year at the Orange County Fair I am going to See one of the First Females Rockers to rock the 1 and only Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with Cherrie Currie of the Runaways. Should Be another awesome Show.

Well Got my Deluxe Boxset from the UK

I am so happy to finally have the Boxset from Universal Music the extras are well worth the wait.

The shirt a large (doesn't fit) oh well can buy one at a concert when that comes around to town.

Key Chain, Sheet Music Art Print and the Certificate Signed By Meat all Awesome. DVD plays on Laptop but have to reset region code so can't play it to many times. The Extra CD Casa De Carne Live very nice addition just wish the song Boneyard sung with Pearl was available in the States. just hoping he will release it here.

The more I listen the More I Love

The more I listen to this album I begin to love it more and more. I really like the song Like a Rose and I think California isn't big enough is a great song. those are the 2 songs I tend to repeat on my Ipod. Just waiting for the Cd version so I can have a true Digital version but the recorded vinyl sounds just fine.

Well I got a chance to really listen to the Album a little bit more and I have to Say I am highly satisfied with this effort on Meat's behalf the vocals are awesome. He sounds like he is back to his 100 percent, Now lets make sure he stays very healthy this year for the tour fans. Hoping Los Angeles or Vegas are on the list of shows I would be happy with a early September date or November not real sure I would be able to get a date off in October due to my Job.

He Rocks this Album i am thinking it ranks up there with Bat 1 and 2 and CHSIB.

My Personal Review Of HCTB

To anybody that really reads this Blog Welcome

For those of us in the United States that have to wait another week or two for HCTB (Hang Cool Teddy Bear) Meat Loaf's latest release on Roadrunner records. This review will come to a big surprise because I am reviewing it Prior to the US Release Via the release of Vinyl from the UK.

yes I did Say Vinyl.

I Must Say First and Foremost THIS IS NOT YOUR FATHERS MEAT LOAF He has out done himself with this album. from very strong guest artist to the production. I would rate this up there with BOH II this album just plain Rocks. Meat is sounding incredible there is not really a bad song on this record.

I will say this it is not a bat album but very close as far as the story telling of the album.

If you are a true fan you will love it if you are new to Meat Loaf you will say wow this guy can sing and he is good.

Guest artist Jack Black is good on Like a Rose I am not sure about that song but I will say it is kind of the comedy relief the album needs.

Lets Be In Love is a Great song that shows off the Vocal Talent of Patti Ruso. I am so Glad she is back with the band don't get me wrong I also liked Aspen she was great to but the combo of Patti and CC just rocks.

Can't Wait For the Live Shows.

That will be interesting because we Lost Kasim and Mark from the Neverland Express. So who will Replace those great talents.

For Now we will just Keep Rockin'

Meat You have another Great album on your hands.

It's official my Pre-Ordered Items from the UK have been (Dispatched.)

the Vinyl should be here they say by April 29th. and I am hoping my Deluxe boxset will be here by tuesday or Wednesday this week. As far as the US release of Meat Loaf's New album Crazy thing Won't be released on this side of the (pond) till May 11th 4 weeks later but at least its coming.

For those that didn't listen to Meat describing the artwork he did hint at a couple of artist. and the Album Cover art was done by Bat out of hell III the monsters loose artist Julie Bell. She Confirmed it with me via an email saying it will be up on her website as soon as the album goes on sale or shortly there after.

At Play.com they have the artwork up so you can see the wonderful artwork. I would love to find out who did the artwork and find out if they sell prints of their work. Like Julie Bell does. Short post for now here is a taste of the artwork. I love his cover. Meat you always choose great artist I love how this plays off of the last album cover for Bat III.

I must say when I heard this was the Title of the New Album I was What?

Just the thought Meat was going for. on another thought I would love to see a single released of Meat doing the Duet with the british singer doing Bat out of Hell if have not seen it see it close your eyes and feel the power of song done in a new and exciting way.
